SCHEMES OF STUDY
Externat. All students are required to pay the CVEC (contribution à la vie étudiante et de campus). The school issues a student card which entitles students to the usual benefits (museums, CROUS, discounts, etc.).
SUPPLIES
A list of the basic equipment required for the first year is provided on registration. Penninghen has entered into a partnership with the art supply stores Dalbe and Gouache, which offer preferential rates to all students. The school is also part of a special scheme offered by Apple Education, enabling students to purchase computer equipment at a reduced rate of up to 12%. The school offers preferential rates for the Adobe suite.
ETHICAL CHARTER
The Ethics Charter is designed to ensure a culture of ethics at the school, and help students, teachers and administrative staff to better identify and manage conflicts of values in their work, in order to improve the way we live together. In line with the fundamental principles of the French Constitution and current legislation, this charter is binding on all as a framework of conduct, implying the responsibility of each individual in the fight against all forms of discrimination, violence, harassment and stereotyping.
INTRANET
Each student has a personalized address giving access to Penninghen's intranet, a secure work platform for teachers, students and administration, with exchange spaces for workshops and remote project monitoring. It allows students to keep track of their results, with personalized secure access to grades for the year, the possibility of consulting timetables and tracking absences.
FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (FLES)
To help non-French-speaking students improve their understanding of the French language and pursue their studies in the best possible conditions, the school offers FLE courses supervised by a dedicated teacher. All non-French-speaking first-year students must take a FLE test at the start of the academic year, so that the teacher can validate the required level (B2). This is compulsory in the first year. In the upper year, the FLE course remains optional. On the advice of the teachers and if the timetable allows, this course can be made compulsory. For students enrolled in the Erasmus program at Penninghen, this course becomes compulsory if their level of French is deemed insufficient on arrival, and if the timetable allows them to take the course.
