PENNINGHEN SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, at the time of re-enrollment in the next year, a call for applications is made available to students wishing to apply for a scholarship. A commission meets in March to award a scholarship to several students with a support of up to 40% of tuition fees. On average, about 20 scholarships are awarded each year.

These scholarships, funded by the school, do not apply to the first year. Only the upper years are concerned. An internal solidarity fund can be granted, to accompany each student facing a difficulty in life (death of a parent, the dismissal of a parent, accident of life...).

The fund, set up from the school's own funds, is designed to support students in temporary difficulty. It is a non-cumulative scheme with the bursary, enabling students to benefit from tuition fee assistance in the form of a discount if they submit a reasoned request.

ERASMUS+ SCHOLARSHIP

As part of the international exchange program offered through the Erasmus+ and Cumulus programs in 4th year, an Erasmus+ grant is available to students studying at partner universities or schools abroad, based on their social criteria.

The amount awarded varies depending on the destination and duration of the exchange. It can range from 150€ to 500€ per month. Finally, a supplement «inclusion» of 250€ can be attributed to any person with a disability or suffering from a long-term condition (ALD). The Erasmus+ grant can be combined with other grants.

PAID INTERNSHIPS AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

In the 4th year, a period of professionalization of 6 months is provided in the pedagogical calendar. This includes a mandatory internship period of 2 months minimum. The student can complete this period of professionalization with another internship or by an exchange abroad with a partner institution. Namely, an internship in a company is paid if it lasts 2 months or more. Each year, on January 1st, the minimum hourly bonus is evaluated according to French legislation. Outside this mandatory internship period, Penninghen awards internship agreements at the request of students, during the summer period, until the start of the 5th year.

These internships, which are not compulsory, can be an opportunity for remuneration as well as an excellent factor for professional integration. Some students also choose to take on freelance assignments in parallel with their studies to earn money and develop their portfolio. The school would like to draw the attention of all students wishing to develop a professional activity alongside their studies to the need to carefully evaluate the time allocated to their training, so that it remains their priority.
