Accessible on competition for any holder or in the process of obtaining a master’s degree with a dominant artistic/ creative or commercial/ marketing, the Master Communication Penninghen trains in two years future professionals of brand communication. Trained by professionals from the media, agencies, the consulting world or business strategy, students learn to confront the realities of the communication and branding professions.

A UNIQUE CURRICULUM COMBINING STRATEGY AND CREATION

The Penninghen Master of Communication is a unique higher education, designed to train brand managers, communication directors, strategy directors or innovation directors, able to drive a development strategy consistent with a brand strategy.

The Communication Master of Penninghen offers training whose approach combines both theoretical and practical courses of technical learning. The disciplines taught aim to develop the faculty of ideation and shaping.

This training is available in 2 years after a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, art, creation or design. The admission is subject to a file study and a recruitment interview.

In parallel admissions, students integrate the last two years of the Master of Communication which correspond to the fourth and fifth years, which are very professionalizing pedagogical orientation.

MASTER’S DEGREE IN COMMUNICATION

FOURTH YEAR PROGRAM

By integrating the Penninghen Master of Communication, students are trained to manage and fully deploy a communication campaign, from its conception to its realization.

In particular, they take courses in:

  • creation and strategy (creative strategy, design strategy, branding design, creative branding)
  • editing (editorial and system design, branding design)

In the second semester, as part of a 16-week work placement, students are required to:

  • to invest
  • conceive
  • produce
  • collaborate

 

This period of professionalization must anchor real contexts with structures such as:

  • communication agencies
  • communication services event agencies

These internships are an opportunity for Master of Communication students to develop their own network, put into practice the lessons taught at the school and consolidate their professional project.

 

FIFTH YEAR PROGRAM

The last year of a master’s degree in communication is an opportunity to verify and concretely apply your future profession or function through meetings and exchanges with professionals in the context of conferences or workshops offered with prestigious brands.

Students in the final year of the Master’s degree in Communication learn to:

  • share their thoughts
  • interface between future professionals
  • assert their choices defend an expertise

The transversality with the master’s degree in interior architecture and the master’s degree in artistic direction through an interdisciplinary course (Brand Curation) that brings together all 5th year students of the three programs, encourages to confront ideas, knowledge and skills.

The diploma project, culmination of the master’s degree, is developed for several weeks at the end of 5th year. Each student works on a professional project of his own that he develops with the support of a teacher from Penninghen. This scenographic project is presented to a jury of professional communication experts before being the subject of an exhibition open to the general public for three days.

THE SKILLS DEVELOPED DURING THE MASTER COMMUNICATION AT PENNINGHEN

Creating value requires sharing knowledge and combining skills. By pursuing a transdisciplinary, balanced and comprehensive teaching method, students learn to develop:

  • their strategic knowledge (business model, strategic planning, corporate and commercial communication, project management...) their creative abilities (design thinking, design, art direction, writing and drawing...)
  • their personal or soft skills (performance, eloquence, writing, culture of the time, oral and written English language...)

THE TERMS OF ADMISSION

The master communication of Penninghen does not appear among the materials accessible via "monmaster.gouv.fr", it is accessible by a file study and interview. For the application to be admissible, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in communication, business, marketing, journalism, creation or arts.

A portfolio is requested for candidates from creative and artistic backgrounds. A project presentation is required for candidates from training with dominant strategy and business. The interview makes it possible to assess the consistency between the candidate’s career path and his professional project with the educational objective of the Penninghen Master of Communication.

FEES AND TUITION 2025/2026

Master of Communication For students following the course at Penninghen in 2 years, the amount each year is €15,990. An application fee of €1,500 is payable at the time of admission. 

DIPLOMA AND RECOGNITION

Penninghen’s diploma confirms the communication director skills acquired during the training. The graduation project validates Penninghen’s degree. It is evaluated by an independent jury made up of international professional experts outside the school.
